I think alot of bands we like, the live show wasnt about pumping up the crowd or getting people involved, its more just like focusing on the music, so thats what we feel most comfortable doing. That being said, though, I’m gonna wear roller blades at every show during this tour.

I had some dreams, and in the January before we started recording, I was out in New Mexico and I first saw… I don’t want to call it a UFO, but a very strange phenomenon in the sky, and had some dreams after that about some interesting things. I don’t think it’s Martian alien dudes in UFOs with laser guns, it’s just that there’s something out there, or even if it’s just a change in our view of the world or the way we use our brains, I think that can be an alien force, too. It’s more of a universal knowledge, a universal kind of spiritual presence that’s there that we’re not really getting to.

Ben and I like moments where music makes you feel simultaneously disgusted and also really happy and wanting to listen to it again. We’re not going to serve music on a platter that’s easy to take in. But we’re also not going to be making a drone record anytime soon, or experimental piano pieces. It’s not like we’re avant-garde musicians. We’re making pop music with a little different thinking

We get a lot of free clothes, a lot of free stuff. And we both got haircuts for the first time in a long time. We used to cut our own hair and now we can afford real haircuts.
